Learn various pranayama, mudras and bandhas.
After you have learned and practiced Ujjayi breathing, you are ready to practice other types of seated pranayama. In this series, you will learn a few mudras, bandhas that will be used in the practice. It has a calming effect on the brainthe nadis(energy channels) and the nervous system.
Part 2 highlights -
- Transition to seated ujjayi breathing
- Understand anatomy, movement of lungs and ribs in pranayama
- Chest breathing pattern - reclining and seated
- Anulom vilom / Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing)
- Bandhas - Jalandhar Bandha and mula bandha
- Mudras - Hand mudra in anulom vilom, Shanmukhi mudra
- Sitali and Bhamari
Props needed: Bolster or a firm pillow, 2 blankets and a mat
Recording will be shared after each class and full series will be available until April 8 so one can practice the guided pranayama several times during the week.
