Yoga with Shilpa Bhavsar, Yoga Instructor

Shilpa Bhavsar is a 500 hr certified yoga instructor from the college of Purna Yoga and E-500RYT from Yoga Alliance. She is trained by the world renowned Master Yoga Teachers - Aadil Palkhivala and Savitri.

She teaches Purna Yoga - alignment based asanas/poses to keep the body safe and heartfull meditation techniques to go deep within combined with applied philosophy and learnings from personal experiences, nutrition and lifestyle.

 

She is also certified in iRest Yoga Nidra (Yogic sleep) and teaches it regularly at the Restorative workshops and classes.

Shilpa strongly believes in yoga 'on' the mat and 'off' the mat. She believes that yoga when done correctly can heal one magically. She strives to find the best fit of the asanas, meditation and breathing techniques for her students. Her classes are filled with humor, personal attention, inspirational quotes, poems and stories.

​

Shilpa has been practicing yoga since 2007 and has been teaching yoga since 2014. She teaches online and in-person group classes, private and semi-private classes. She had been regularly teaching at the local YMCA for many years before Covid.

​

Shilpa holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelors degree in Engineering in Computer Science. She has worked as a software engineer for 13 years including 9 years at Microsoft. Her interests include painting, reading philosophy and writing.

 

She is passionate about helping people to live a healthy and peaceful life through the mindful and ancient practice of yoga.
