CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Beginners/Gentle Yoga

​

- This class is for beginners who have little or no experience of yoga.

- Yoga is for every "body". Flexibility is not a requirement.

- The class begins with a few minutes of meditation.

- The class focuses on gentle yoga poses to stretch and feel openness in the muscles.

- Guidance and demonstration will be provided for each pose.

- Props will be used to keep the body safe and in alignment to get the benefits of the pose.

- Helps improve the posture.

Yoga All Levels
Strength & Stamina

CD - Strength & Stamina

​

- The class focuses on active poses that is held for longer duration to build strength and flexibility in standing poses, twists, backbends, forward bends and inversions.

- Focus is on building strength in the legs, shoulders and core muscles.

- Preparation poses for inversions such as Headstand and Shoulder stand will be taught along with the key muscles to engage to achieve the pose.

- Practice a few Gentle Yoga classes is recommended before taking this class.

- Builds strength, flexibility, focus and balance.

- Feel openness and freedom in the body.

- Helps improve the posture. 

CD - YogaLevels1&2

Yoga for Level 1

​

- The class is good for beginners as well as intermediate level of yogis.

- The class begins with a few minutes of meditation, warm-ups, sun salutations and active poses including standing poses, twists, chest openers and backbends.

- Modifications will be given as needed to each student to achieve his or her potential in a variety of poses.

- Learn basic alignment and body awareness. 

- Builds, flexibility, focus and balance.

- Feel openness and freedom in the body.

- Helps improve the posture.

CD - Restorative

Restorative Yoga

​

- Restorative (Re-store energy) class includes relaxing poses using bolsters, blankets and other props.

- Each pose is held for several minutes to let the body rest and relax. The focus is on relaxing the muscles and letting go. Simply come in to 'let go' during this wonderful relaxing practice.

Wear comfortable warm clothing, warm socks to keep yourself comfortable in the poses.

- Calms the brain and soothes the nervous system.

- Deeply relaxes the body.

- Reduces stress, anxiety and enhances mood.

- It is a treat to the mind, body and soul.

CD - Meditation

Meditation

​

- Guided meditation and visualization methods are taught to bring focus on the breath and quiet the mind.

- Heart full meditation techniques are also taught to help concentrate on the present and bring your focus on the heart and beautiful feelings.

-The class begins with a focused topic, includes a few minutes of lecture and discussions followed by guided meditation.

Benefits:

- Helps to calm the mind.

- Improves concentration.

- Feel more open-minded and open-hearted.

- Freedom in the breath.

- Feel light and relaxed.

What to expect at your first class?

​

- Bring a mat and a water bottle. 
- (Optional) Bring a yoga strap and yoga block if you have one. 
- Wear comfortable, colorful clothing. Dark colors hide alignment which prevents the teacher from promptly assisting your practice.
- Avoid wearing perfume or any strong body lotion as it can cause nausea to other members.
- If you are coming here for the first time, please arrive a few minutes early to register.
- If you have health issues, please arrive early to communicate with the teacher.

- Lastly, feel proud to have taken time for nourishing the self!
